RAVINDER SAGOO

MNutr, HCPC Registered Dietitian

Specialist Kidney Dietitian

Ravinder Sagoo is a UK Registered Dietitian with 15 years of combined clinical NHS and freelance experience specialising in kidney nutrition, and is Co-Director of Kidney Nutrition Matters Ltd.

For many people living with kidney disease, the hardest part is not only knowing what to eat, but the overwhelming contradictory information found online. Kidney health becomes very confusing and complicated so understanding food and nutrition really matters. Dietary advice changes across different stages of kidney disease, during dialysis, and after transplant, so needs professional individualised dietetic intervention.

The main ethos of her practise is that every person should leave an appointment more confident and with a sense of hope and direction, feeling better equipped to make sustainable changes that fit their lifestyle, culture, and health needs to support their kidney health.

With a strong interest in cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health, Ravinder recognises the importance of whole-person nutrition in supporting preventative dietary advice, long-term health preservation, rather than just viewing kidney disease in isolation.

Ravinder holds a Master of Nutrition degree and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She is also a member of the British Dietetic Association, including its Kidney and Cardiovascular specialist groups. Alongside her clinical practice, she works with the two leading kidney charities -Kidney Research UK and Kidney Care UK developing kidney friendly recipes and writing educational articles to help support people living with kidney disease.
