Dr. Meera Rajah
MBBSc MRCGP MEd MRCEM DRCOG DFSRH DCH AFMCP
Dr Rajah is a working NHS GP for over 10 years and GP partner for 8 years where she has developed an interest in women’s health and dermatoscopy. Following qualifying from Imperial College London and through her early training as a doctor to now as a GP, she soon came to realise the lack of emphasis on preventative healthcare. With worrying data such as obesity doubling since 1990 and the prevalence of cancer increasing every year, she strongly believes in the importance of looking at the root causes of illness and symptomatology. In between her clinical days, she is involved in an innovative medical school curriculum where the importance of preventative medicine and nutrition is being embedded into young minds.
Like many, due to personal reasons she started to learn about nutritional health and functional medicine. Through learning together about cellular biology, she truly understands how unique each of her patients is. Her experience has shown her by making potentially small modest changes to lifestyle or adding a supplement she can improve current and future health and wellbeing.
Dr Rajah completed her AFMCP with the Institute of Functional Medicine and ensures her love of learning is continued with regular attendance at conferences and mentorships with Dr Gill from Professor Kerry Bone, an international industrial leader in herbal medicine.
